1． She takes a shower at 8：00. 她八點鐘洗淋浴。
shower是名詞，意思是"淋浴"。表示沖淋浴時，還可用have a shower。如：
We take / have a shower every evening. 我們每天晚上沖淋浴。
2． What a funny time to eat breakfast！吃早餐的時間可真有趣！
what在此不作"什么"講，不是疑問詞，而是形容詞"多么"，這時它用于感嘆句，句尾用感嘆號。當感嘆部分的中心詞是名詞時，用what引導；當感嘆部分的中心詞是形容詞或副詞時，用how引導。如：
What a clever boy （he is）！他是一個多么聰明的孩子�。�
How clever he is！他多么聰明�。�
3．To get to work, he takes the number 17 bus to the Sai Te Hotel. 為了上班，他乘17路公共汽車到賽特酒店。
動詞take在這里不是"帶走"的意思，而是"乘車（船）"。如：
She often takes the number 5 bus to the factory. 她經常乘五路汽車去工廠。
4． People love to listen to him. 人們喜愛聽他演奏。
listen是不及物動詞，若后跟賓語時，要加to，構成listen to sth."聽......"。如：
My father listens to the radio at seven in the evening. 我父親在晚上七點聽收音機。
5.本單元我們學了兩個表時間的介詞at 和in，加上以前學的介詞on，對這三個表時間的介詞用法可做以下小結：
●at用在時刻前，也可用來表示"在正午，在夜晚"。如：at nine, at noon
●in用在月份、季節、年份前，也可用來表示"在早上、在下午、在晚上"。如： in January , in spring , in 2004 , in the morning
●on用在日期、星期、節日前，也可用來表示具體某天或某天的早上、下午、晚上等。如： on November 1st, on Monday, on Children's Day, on Tuesday evening
6. Best wishes. 最好的祝愿。
這句話常見于信的結尾。best是good的最高級形式，意為："最好的"；wish在這里是名詞"祝愿"的意思，其復數形式為wishes，如：
Please give them all my best wishes.請把我所有最美好的祝愿帶給他們。
