1. There be 句型是英語中常用句型， 意思是"有"，表示"人或事物的存在"或"某地有某物"。There在此結構中是引導詞，已經沒有副詞"那里"的含義，表示某個地方存在某物或某人，可以翻譯成有的意思，Be動詞的單復數必須依主語的變化而變化。（最靠近be動詞的名詞如果是單數或不可數名詞，be動詞用is；最靠近be動詞的名詞如果是可數名詞復數，be動詞用are）例如：There is an apple and some oranges on the table.

3. 在表示結構上的含有時，也可以用there be句型。

4. there be 結構作賓語時，通常用there to be ，常作這樣一些詞的賓語：expect，like, mean, intend, want,prefer,hate等。
例如：I expect there to be no argument about this.
