1.foot作“足部”解時(shí)一般用單數(shù)形式；作“底部,底座”解時(shí)是單數(shù)名詞，并常與定冠詞the連用；作“腳步,步伐”解時(shí)為不可數(shù)名詞，其后常接介〔副〕詞短語。
2.foot還可以用作長度單位，意思是“英尺”，有時(shí)可采用零復(fù)數(shù)形式，即單數(shù)形式表示復(fù)數(shù)意義，表示“每英尺”時(shí)，foot前加a而不加one。
