is的用法：
第三人稱單數(shù)+is，如he(男)+is；she(女)+is；it(不是人)+is。
例句：
She is very virulent about her former employer.
她對她過去的老板恨之入骨.
am的用法：
第一人稱I+am。I am還可縮寫成I'm。但是am與not不能縮寫。
例句：
With respect to your other proposals, I am not yet able to tell you our decision.
談到你的其他建議, 我現(xiàn)在還無法把我們的決定告訴你.
are的用法：
復(fù)數(shù)名詞+are 如第二人稱you+are；一人稱復(fù)數(shù)we+are；三人稱復(fù)數(shù)they+are。
例句：
We are taught to construe these terms in a particular way.
