while做連詞的用法：
1. 引導(dǎo)時(shí)間狀語，解釋為“當(dāng)...的時(shí)候”。
（1）We must strike while the iron is hot.
趁熱打鐵。（我們必須當(dāng)鐵熱的時(shí)候去擊打它。）
（2）While he is speaking, he does a lot of gestures.
他演講的時(shí)候有很多手勢(shì)。
2. 引導(dǎo)讓步狀語從句，意思是“雖然…但是…”。
這種情況，while 多放于句首
（1）While there was no conclusive evidence, most people thought he was guilty.
雖然沒有確鑿的證據(jù)，大多數(shù)人還是認(rèn)為他有罪。
（2）While my heart is willing, my flesh is weak.
心有余而力不足。（雖然我的心是愿意的，但是我的肉體是虛弱的）。
3. 引導(dǎo)條件狀語，意思是“只要”。
（1）While there is life there is hope.
留得青山在，不怕沒柴燒。（只要有命在，就有希望。）
（2）While there is a will, there is a way.
有志者事竟成。（只要有意志力，就有道路。）
